With its sleek and modern design, in which you can choose from two different colours, the Tanita RD-953 hides what it actually offers inside. When the user steps on the scale, it automatically recognises them, starts the measurement and displays the ten most important body values one after the other. For faster classification, your values are automatically highlighted in green, yellow or red and thus assessed – simply smart!

Data transmission via Bluetooth

The Tanita RD-953 is the first Bluetooth body fat scale from Tanita. Your measured values are automatically transmitted to your Android smartphone or iPhone thanks to Bluetooth 4.0. If you don't have your smartphone with you, that's no problem. The Tanita RD-953 saves your results until it can reconnect with your smartphone for the best overview of your progress!

With the Tanita RD-953, you bring the same bio-impedance technology you see at your doctor's office or your gym to your home. The RD-953 body analysis scale Bluetooth is the first Bluetooth Smart body fat scale from Tanita. With its sleek design, the Tanita RD-953 hides what it actually offers inside. Thanks to the dual-frequency BIA measurement and the 50-gramme graduation, the RD-953 measures a total of ten body values very precisely. The RD-953 body analysis scale Bluetooth provides measurement values such as weight, body fat percentage, body water, body mass index (BMI), metabolic age as well as muscle percentage within just a few seconds.

Smart body fat scale

The Tanita RD-953 scale automatically recognises the user when they step on the scale, starts measuring and displays the ten body values one by one. Some values are immediately assessed with a red, yellow or green background light.

The measured values are transmitted via radio to the Tanita Healthplanet app on your mobile device. If your mobile device is nearby, the result will be transferred automatically right away. If not, the scale will save the results until the next time it is connected. To check the trend of personal values and to enable longer-term monitoring, the measurement results can then be tracked in a graph in the app and the web-based software. The app and web-based software is available in English.

Body analysis using the bio-impedance technique

With its simple design, the TANITA RD-953 hides what it actually offers inside.Tanita body fat scale uses the same technology that is tried-and-tested in the professional field by thousands of doctors, gyms and professional athletes. The transparent, almost invisible electrodes on the standing surface are patented sensors that determine body values using bio-impedance analysis. Two low-frequency electric currents flow through the body. As the signal flows through the muscle, fat and water components of the body, the body composition is calculated using scientific equations as well as the individual values of each user. This makes the measurement even more accurate and, at 15 seconds, almost twice as fast as older models.

Mein Mann und ich waren auf der Suche nach einer neuen Waage und haben uns schließlich aufgrund des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses für diese entschieden. Sie tut alles was sie soll und die Bedienung ist super einfach. Auch das Hinzufügen eines zweiten Nutzers war kein Problem.
